Previously the UK relied on the Data Protection Act, but as of 25th May 2018 it was superseded by new legislation known as GDPR.
These new regulations introduce tougher fines for non-compliance and breaches, and gives people more say over what companies can do with their data. It also makes data protection rules more or less identical throughout the EU.
Because GDPR is a regulation, not a directive, the UK doesn’t have to draw up new legislation – instead it applies automatically, so it is critical to ensure that your own data management is in compliance with these new laws.
At KryptoDC we know about GDPR. We also understand the cyber risks that organizations face and the implications that follow a “cyber breach”. If your organisation is breached, it’s your responsibility to inform your data protection authority of any data breach that risks people’s rights & freedoms within 72 hours of your organisation becoming aware of it. UK authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The average total cost of a data breach is an estimated $3.62 million.
At KryptoDC we utilize our cyber capabilities in depth to Monitor, Detect, Prevent & Protect your data and we achieve this by partnering with KryptoKloud who provides us with our unique cyber resilience capabilities on a 24/7/365 day basis.
